Your glass
Good to know
Can I replace just the glass, not the whole window?
Often yes. If the frame and seals are in good condition, a misted or broken sealed unit can be replaced on its own, which is usually much cheaper than new windows. If the frame is rotten, warped or very old, replacing the whole window may be better value.
When does glass have to be safety glass?
Building regulations require safety glass (toughened or laminated) in doors, in panels beside doors, and in windows with glass close to the floor. We can confirm this at survey.
What size should I enter?
Measure the glass, not the frame, or choose a common size. A surveyor measures properly before anything is made.
